A cloud of excitement mixed with some anticipation with a pinch of foreboding seems to have descended on Citi FM’s Voice Factory as the Grand Finale draws closer.
With just over two weeks to go the final, little is known about which of the contestants will fill the four traditional slots for the event.
Scheduled for the August 21 at the National Theatre, Citi FM’s Voice Factory Grand Finale will climax what has been some 13 emotionally charged weeks of stiff competition between 10 truly gifted singers.
With tickets going for GH¢10, it is obvious that a great show lies in wait for the unsuspecting public who have been listening and voting though the weeks.
Through weeks of rehearsal, performance and eviction episodes, Philip, Melody, Angela, Sammy and Abigail stand tall in the quest to win the grand prize of a brand new saloon car.
The choice of the final four was however not made any easier when instead of a contestant being evicted; they were all offered a lifeline on the Eviction Show with Armani.
The structure of the Eviction Show was completely transformed as the producers announced that instead of four; only three contestants were to be selected for the final.
The anxiety was edged a notch higher when Philip and Sammy, the only guys left in the competition, were announced to be the two penned for eviction.
Armani however calmed the nerves of the contestants when he announced that each of the five remaining contestants had one last chance to prove themselves.
The quality of their voices and performance, an attribute which secured them a place in the competition, will thus determine which of them makes it to the final.
The scores of the judges will be final.
This Saturday, August 4 2010 thus makes it the break or make weekend for the aspiring singers and would be a show worth tuning in to.
The show will start at 1:00 pm and will feature three of the best in the music industry, Chemphe, David Kyei and Carlos Sakyi, as the judges.
Season two of the Voice Factory is sponsored by Vodafone and EPP Books Services.
