Samaria Ayameye Mma Som Kuo, a charitable association at Abuakwa, has presented cash and wax prints to widows and orphans of 34 parishioners of the Abuakwa Parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Ashanti.

The beneficiaries lost their relations in a motor accident at the Akropong Junction on the Kumasi-Sunyani road in May 2006.

Mr. C.D.K. Amankwaah, founder and patron, making the presentation, said the association was deeply touched by the plight of the dependants of the departed parishioners and therefore pledged its continued support for them.

Rev. Fr. Declan Ugorji, Abuakwa Parish Priest of the Roman Catholic Church, expressed appreciation to the association for the gesture and prayed that the good Lord would reward the members abundantly.

The association with its head office at Samreboi in the Western Region has branches in Bibiani, Kpando, Gbefi-Tornu, Accra and Afari in the Ashanti Region.
