As part Rlg Communications 10th anniversary celebration, the company has donated GHC 2million to the Ministry of Youth And Sports towards the 2nd Ecowas Games to be held in Ghana this year.
The Ecowas games, under the theme "Ecowas, Uniting For Peace" is aimed at investing in the potentials of the youth in the Ecowas sub region and providing job in Ghana and Africa.
The money will be used to refurbish the Sport Hall of Ohene Djan Sport Stadium during the games is under renovation and schdule to be completed by May 26, 2012.
Presenting the cheque to the Ministry, Mr Roland Agambire, the chief Executive Officer of Rlg Communications said “ the Ecowas games is to invest in youth by giving them skills to create employment and also catch the African market with Rlg products to other West Africa countries”.
He also urge Ghanaians to spend their money on Rlg products and goods manufactured locally in the Ghana adding that it is their corporate responsibility to partner the Ministry of youth and Sports in the preparation towards the 2nd Ecowas Games to be held in June this year.
Receiving the cheque, Mr Kofi Humado the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sport thanked Rlg Communications for the kind gesture and urged companies,corporate institutions and organizations to partner the Ministry and Local Organizing Committee to make the event a success.
