CHIEFS in the Ga traditional areas have been urged to strive to resolve disputes between feuding parties amicably.

Nii Amarkai III, Asere Dzaasetse and acting Asere Mantse, made the appeal when Nii Otokuteh, a sub-chief of Hobor in the Ga South District, swore the oath of allegiance before him and the elders of Asere in Accra.

Nii Otokuteh, 58, is known in private life as Staff Sergeant Samuel Sackey Aflah of the 54 Infantry Regiment, Burma Camp.

Nii Amarkai said educational standards had fallen in many of the Ga communities and urged Nii Otokuteh and his elders to partner the Asere Stool to mobilize resources to improve up education in the various communities.

For his part, Nii Otokuteh thanked the elders of Asere and promised to seek the support of communities such as Asabade, Adembra and Obotereh to improve the living conditions of the people.
