The 2010 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) come off in Tamale from Saturday November 20 to Saturday November 27.
The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture has announced.
It will be under the theme NAFAC: “Promoting unity, technology and wealth creation for a better Ghana: the role of the youth in nation building”.
NAFAC is a biennial cultural event which is celebrated to create the platform for all the ten regions to showcase their culture and also promote the socio-economic and tourism potentials in their respective regions as a driving force to investment.
The event also presents an opportunity for the nation to examine its cultural heritage in the context of globalization, particularly regarding adverse cultural influences permeating our society.
This year, the focus of the celebration is on job creation and skill training development opportunities for the unemployed, especially the youth to promote effective and productive grassroots participation in the process of national development.
The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture has appealed to all Ghanaians to make the festival a memorable one by portraying their Ghanaian identity and personality to reflect the unique values of the Ghanaian culture.
