Mr Philip Carlis-Paittoo, Managing Director of Peecee Enterprises in Accra receiving a plaque from the Minister of Education, Mr Alex Tetteh-Enyoh, who deputised for Vice President John Mahama at the 50th anniversary celebration of Accra Girls Secondary School.

Mr Carlis-Paittoo, a board member of the school for the past five years was among 35 people honoured for their meritorious services to the school and national life.

Some old girls of the school were also rewarded for their academic and social achievements at the ceremony which climaxed activities to mark the school's golden jubilee celebrations.

Mr Carlis-Paittoo, was honoured for persistently showing special interest in the welfare and development of the students and staff.

Among those given awards was Mr Amos Gaisie, a lawyer while Vice President Mahama and Education Minister Tetteh-Enyoh were made hononary old boys of the school.
