This was during presentation of 20 vehicles to EPA to assist them in their operations.
The Minister said during the last discussion in Parliament on the report of the EPA, it was indicated that the EPA lacked capacity to enable it perform its functions.
Ms. Ayittey said the Ministry was therefore urged to assist the agency.
The Ministry, therefore, in partnership with various donor agencies have provided 20 vehicles to the agency.
Ms. Ayittey said through the Sustainable Land Management Programme more than 100 motor had been ordered to facilitate the field work and extensive services at the project site.
Mr. Amlalo, receiving the vehicles on behalf of EPA, commended the Ministry for its kind gesture and assured that they would be maintain to enhance the operations of the agency.
“The EPA will ensure that the environment has zero pollution,” he stated.
