The Lebanese Women Association has presented Braille materials and quantities of assorted food items worth GH˘107 orphan students of the school for the Blind at Akropong Akuapen in the Eastern Region.
The item include bags of cartons of salt, magi cube, ideal milk, powered milk, biscuits, chocolate powder, sardine, soap and gallons of cooking oil.
The orphaned blind students are being taken care of by the Ghana Society for the Blind.
Mrs. Nalila Abou – Chedide, president of the association said, “We appreciate the effor45ts the schools are making to help these children to acquire formal education to enable them to contribute their quota to national development.”
Everything is possible for with little determination they can make it in future” she added.
The headmistress Ms. Mahela Narh, thanked the association for its continuous support to the school and said the donation would go a long way to encourage the children to learn.
She pledged to ensure that the items would be used judiciously to benefit the children appealed to governmental organizations and public spirited individual to come to the aids of the in bringing up of the children.
