First National Loans and Savings, one of the fastest growing banking service providers in the country has set itself a target to reach 100,000 customers next year.
According to the company, plans are also far advanced to double its current 20 branches throughout the country by the end of next year.
The chairman of the board of firectors of the company, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom who disclosed this said the bank will also embark on the creation of a business enterprise area that will cover Kumasi, Konongo, Mampong and the Obuasi geographic area which will co-ordinate the activities of the branches.
Dr. Nduom said the bank will from next year, develop a small enterprise advisory centre at Kasoa to support the business needs of traders and other small and medium enterprises in the area.
The centre will equip the traders and other operators with proper book keeping skills among other needs of business operators.
The board chairman said the bank will also establish a major service centre in Tamale to service Yendi and other northern towns as well as establish a business cluster around Tarkwa including Prestea and Damang where mining activities thrive most.
In the year 2010, the board chairman said the bank will make the recruitment of high quality human resource and the implementation of a national technology platform an important element in its structure to enable it to effectively position itself to meet the increasing demand of the sector.
He said the bank has an elaborate plans aimed at becoming a universal bank in the years ahead without losing the focus on keeping the needs of the ordinary people particularly small and medium scale enterprises, traders and workers.
