Mrs Gladys Amaning thanking Baffour Akwasi Oppong, national chairman of GNASBA for the items he presented to the schools on behalf of Fan Milk.
Mrs. Gladys Amaning, Kumasi Metropolitan Director of Ghana Education, has congratulated FAN MILK Limited on its support for schools in the metropolis.
She noted that the company, had over the past 17 years assisted the schools through its school Health and Agricultural programmes.
Mrs. Gladys Amaning made the commendation when she received a package of Fan Yogo-labelled footballs for 28 selected schools in the metropolis at the golden Jubilee Park in Kumasi.
She said the donation of these sports items had come a time schools that were preparing for inter-schools games, and urged the schools to train well and win the needed trophies.
Baffour Akwasi Oppong, National Chairman of Ghana National Scholarship Beneficiaries Association (GNASBA), also praised the schools in the metropolis for their commitment and hardwork and their involvement in tree-planting exercises organised by the association and sponsored by Fan Milk Limited.
He added the association would soon come out with special Environmental Awards to honour deserving schools.
For his part, Mr. Amo Frimpong Manso, Metropolitan Co-ordinator for Science and Environment, said the Fan Milk Limited and GNASBA Environmental Sanitation Education programme had really benefited the schools in the Kumasi Metropolis. The two organizations had provided tree seedlings, letter bins, watering cans and footballs.
He appealed to the government to recognised and Honour the association for the hard work and sacrifices that it had made for the past 17 years, most especially its Leader, Baffour Akwasi Oppong.
