Faith Presby Dedicates New Manse
A GH¢70,000 manse built by the Faith Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Madina Estate has been dedicated by the Rev. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, district minister.
Construction of the manse which took seven months to complete has three bedrooms, a hall, study, room, kitchen and a store room.
Rev. Opare Kwakye commended Rev. Patrick Ayesu, the session, property committee and the congregants for their initiative and foresight to build a manse and urged other congregations without a manse to emulate the example set by the Faith members.
At the same function, a valedictory service was held for Rev. Patrick Asare Ayesu who has served the Madina District as a minister and chaplain of the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC) for 12 years.
Rev. Ayesu who has resumed office at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Dansoman has been replaced by Rev. Patrick Amaning Boama from Obuasi.
A citation read in honour of Rev. Ayesu by Madam Nancy Abrokwah, senior presbyter of Faith Congregation, described Rev. Ayesu “as a man of strong character and non-conformist who boldly turned the fortunes of the church around by putting in place almost all the administration and physical structures of the church today.
For his part, Rev. Ayesu expressed gratitude to the district session and congregation for their help to make his work successful.
He entreated them to continue to pray for him so that the good Lord would spiritually reinvigorate him.
On behalf of the District, Mr. I.F. Ofori presented gifts to Rev. and Mrs. Ayesu. Others came from the district session, groups, committees, session, Presec Old Boys and individuals.
