Fabulous Ladies Emerge Champions In GFA/Airtel Juvenile Tournament
Fabulous Ladies have emerged Champions in the Womens Division of the maiden GFA/Airtel Rising Stars Juvenile tournament on Sunday at the El-Wak Stadium.
The team from Ashanti Region beat Soccer Intellectuals from the Central Region 4-2 on penalties to claim the first position.
Soccer Intellectuals’ Christiana Baiden however grabbed the ‘Lady of the Match’ award as a consolation but the overall best player prize went to Fabulous Ladies captain Priscilla Otchere.
Fabulous Ladies thus receive a cash prize of GH¢2000, a trophy, medals for player and officials and Airtel souvenirs.
The second-placed team, Soccer Intellectuals danced away with a cash prize of GH¢1,500, a trophy, medals for player and officials and Airtel souvenirs.
The 2nd runners-up, Reformers of the Brong Ahafo Region also recieves cash prize of GH¢1,000 Ghana cedis, a trophy, medals for player and officials and Airtel souvenirs.
Reformers also finished the tournament producing the Goal Queen, Isaaka Larbi who scored two goals.
