Asamoah Gyan will officially launch his BabyJet Promotions and Management during a press conference at the media center of the Accra sports stadium on July 5.
The Al Ain player will explain to Ghanaians his reasons for adding boxing to his sports collection on the programme scheduled to be aired live on Metro TV.
Gyan recently received his manager and promoter’s license from the Ghana Boxing Authority and had decided to stage a speedy promotion.
During the press conference there would be a signing of contract for a mega fight between local hotshots George Ashie holder of the commonwealth lightweight title against the former IBF intercontinental champ Emmanuel Tagoe popularly known as Game Boy.
This bout has been postponed to 1st September due to an injury suffered by the country’s Bantamweight champion Raymond Commey.
He was billed to defend his title against Emmanuel Quartey in the main bout of the fight. The bout was scheduled to have taken place on the 6th of July.
Gyan is not much concern about the change in date but has given his full consent to the new date.
“I am not worried the fight can’t come on as planned because I know that in boxing anything can happen anytime. I understand the game that’s why I’m investing in it,” Gyan said.
