Ajumako Traditional Council Elevates 3 Sub-Chiefs

The Ajumako Traditional Council have elevated three sub-chiefs in the area to status of Nguaintoihen, Abakomahem and Baemhem due to their dedication to the growth of the traditional area.

They are Nana Kwame Essuman V, chief of Asasani (Nguaintorhem), Nana Dua IV chief of Esikadu (Abakomahem) and Nana Akyeremfo XII, chief of Kromaim (Bamhem).

The three chiefs were carried in palanquins through the principal streets of Ajumako amidst drumming and dancing to the traditional Council Hall where the customary and traditional rites were performed to signify their elevation.

Taking the oath of office, they promised to continue to cooperate with the traditional council and the people for the total development of the area.

Nana Kwame Hammah Ababio 11, Omanhen of Efua Ajumako Traditional Area and president of the Ajumako Traditional Council, urged them to discharge their duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the traditional council without fear nor favour, to better the lots of people.

Nana Hammah Ababio advised them to write and work to supplement government efforts to improve the livelihood of the people, irrespective of their political, tribal and religious affiliations.

The Omanhen used the occasion to educate the gathering, especially the youth, to desist from drugs and other immoral activities which could lead them to destruction.
