Church members jubilating during the anniversary celebrations
The Apostolic Church of Ghana, Ebenezer Assembly at Agape in Accra has celebrated its 10th anniversary at a pomp and pageantry ceremony.
It was on the theme “I will build my church and the gate of Hades shall never prevail against it “Matthew 16:18.
In a sermon on the theme “Forget what is behind” the Kaneshie Area Superintendent, Apostle Alex Ofosu, called on the congregation to strive hard to seek for progress into the future and not the past.
“If you do that you will protect the future and will benefit from it “he added
He urged Christians not to be perturbed about things bordering them but thank God and put all their trust in Him for solution.
“In all things let us give thanks to God Almighty, we should bear in mind that those who rely on God shall never be failed in all things. “he added
Apostle Ofosu said urged Christian to help in promoting the Gods’ work in the church, adding that such people shall be rewarded according to their work.
The Presiding Elder of the Church, John Djaba in a speech said for the past ten years the local assembly has been playing an influential role in spreading the gospel at Agape and its environs.
He said the church was established in March 19, 2002 under the leadership of Elder Narh to help promote the gospel in the area and its environs.
Elder Djaba said the assembly currently has 145 members including three elders four deaconesses and three deacons.
“Today, the church has become vibrant, progressive and dynamic.
Like the Acts of the Apostles, the work still goes on and the history is being made as the spirit of God continues to move his people to do exploit in this land of the living “he added.
He commended the past leaders and congregation for their dedication in moving the church forward.
Part of the activities organized included a bible talk show, teachings and a float among others.
