THE difficulty in securing assembling plants is hampering the efforts of Dr Apostle Kwadwo Safo to go into commercial production of his technological inventions, particularly vehicles a technical officer at the Engineering Department of Great Kosa Company, Alfred Akutteh has said.
Speaking to the Times at the on going 14th International Trade Fair in Accra Mr Akutteh, said Apostle Safo had made several unsuccessful moves to secure car manufacturing assembling plants from China and India to go into mass production of his vehicles.
According to Mr Akutteh, the fear of the manufacturers of the car assembling plants was that, Apostle Safo will destroy their market if he should go into mass production of hisvehicles.
He therefore appealed to the government to intervene to help Apostle Safo to secure assembling plants to commercialize his vehicle inventions.
“The GREAT KOSA Company has received many orders from people within and outside the country to supply them with cars but we cannot meet these orders,” the technical officer stated.
Mr Akutteh noted that, not only would the plant create employment but also make cars affordable to many people.
Daniel Amankwa who also exhibits Apostle Safo’s electronics products including television amplifiers and tape recorders, also told the Times that the Electronic Department of the Great Kosa Company had been receiving orders from people to supply them with televisions sets.
Mr Amankwa said the company turned down such orders because they did not have manpower to produce them, saying that “it takes a longer time to produce a television set manually.”
He said it was only on few occasions that Apostle Safo had requested them to produce one or two television set for their customers.
Mr Amankwa said the Electronic Department had on few occasions manufactured musical instruments for some churches which insisted they wanted to use the product of Apostle Safo’s products.
He said the focus of the company was research to improve on its products, contending that the perception that Apostle Safo’s television sets were assembled foreign ones stressing that “the television sets are manufactured by the company except the tube( screen).”

This is a national assignment. The whole nation must rally behind Apostle Sarfo in these difficult times to ensure he gets them.
all Ghana need is job for the people and why is it so difficult for the government to support company\'s like this that provide jobs.Does the government really care for the people?why the government has still refused to support such companies. Are we so blind, and narrow minded as a country? We need companies for jobs and for tax.Ghana is blind.look at china, india and many more countries.
I think this man deserves some degree of respect and support.Helping such a citizen not only helps our up coming generation to get a job but encourages others to bring out the best in them.China and the rest of the so call developed countries did started from where.
The government to try to assist the company. Do Ghanaians remember what happened to the Anokye, Boafo and Ananse type of vehicles locally manufactured some of which are still at the fishing areas?
So what are the engineers from ghana universities waiting for? why can\'t they make available their knowledge to this inventor and innovator? or these scientists just don\'t know anything?
it is so sad that we criticises those who make the effort. we should read history of china, india, korea and now iran on how they started.all the achievement that china, india, iran, north and south korea are boosting off started by somebody from the craddle. For lack of vission, my people perish refers to ghanaians and their governance systems.i must put on record that all the assain tiger were influence by a revolution for practical technological advancement by their political leadership. people shd read the chinese and iranian revolution.

what he needs is a center for research and development and have scientist and engineers from ghana properly outline the manufacturing blue print of his products. that way it would be easy to mass produce. After that he needs to invest some money in a slow 80% manual and 29% manufacturing plant where his products would be mass produced. After a while he would gradually do away with the human input in the manufacturing of products and eventally get to the 20%human and 80%machine point. Thats how Thomas Eddison did his. Well i am and engineering student in a university here in USand i dont mind sharing my knowlege with people like him Kristo Asafo or what ever his name is.
APOSTLE\'S VISION IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. WE ARE WORKING ON IT. I WILL POST NEXT WEEK WHAT I AS GHANAIAN ABROAD DOING TO HELP. THE BANKS IN GHANA AND THE GOVERNMENT DO NOT HAVE ANY PLANS TO SEE GHANA EVEN COME CLOSE TO A COUNTRY LIKE BOSTWANA. THEY FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE IMPORTING TILAPIA THAN HATCHING TILAPIA IN THE LAKES IN GHANA.
I think this great man of God should be offered assistance by the government. Helping him means aiding and catalysing the development agenda of the country. Apostle Safo, Ghanaians love you very much and we see you as our only source of redemption from our current economic breakdown.
please fellow Ghanaians, this is not magic as some people think, let us all get on-board and help this man for development to prevail in Ghana

Tube screen. Who in his right mind is using Tubes now for TVs. Are we going backward or forward?
