9 Member Execs For Association Of SIC Agents

THE Association of SIC Agents (ASICA) has elected and inducted into office, a new nine-member executive at its 7th Triennial Delegates Conference at the Shai Hills Resort Hotel on the Accra Plains.

The new executive, headed by Mr. Vincent Dorkpor as president, also has Mr. Roger Akpadi as Vice-President, and Mr. Samuel Kumi, General Secretary.

The other executives are Mr. Issah Danaah, Assistant General Secretary. Mr. Christian Coleman, Financial Secretary; Ms. Agnes Cole, Treasurer; Mr. Afari Bediako, National Organiser; Mr. Ato Wilson, Coordinator for Life Business; and James Brown, Coordinator for General Business.

Mr. Vincent Dorkor and his team pledged to faithfully serve the association, its two principals (SIC Insurance and SIC Life), their clients and all other stakeholders in the insurance sector.

Earlier, participants at the Conference passed a resolution reaffirming members unflinching commitment to work harder towards the growth of the two companies to the benefit of the insurance industry and the nation.

They called on SIC Insurance and SIC Life to decentralize their training and refresher programmes and bring them to the doorsteps of agents, particularly those outside the major cities.

The conference was attended by Board Chairmen of both SIC Insurance and SIC Life, Mr. Max Cobbina and Mr. John Owusu Agyeman respectively, as well as Mr. Boateng, Managing Director of SIC Financial Services Limited.

Other officials, present included Mr. Franklin Asafo Adjei, Deputy Managing Director (F & A), SIC Insurance; Mr. Harry Staudt, Accra Area Manager of SIC Life Company; Mr. Ebenezer Kennedy Smith, President of ASICA; Mr. Yaw Ofori Kuragu, Head of Technical Operations, SIC Insurance; Mr. Albert Bahun Welson, Head of Marketing, SIC Insurance; Mr. Moses Botwe, Officer in charge of Agents, SIC Insurance.
